9 Tips to Get the Most out of Your DRMTLGY Anti-Aging Kit

    9 Beauty Hacks with DRMTLGY's Anti-Aging Kit

Double up on your sun protection.

Not only do antioxidants offer huge anti-aging benefits, they protect you against the sun’s UV rays too. Antioxidants fight the free radicals produced by ultraviolet rays and can reduce your risk of skin cancer and environmental damage. When used with SPF, antioxidants reduce free radical production by up to 78%.

These qualities make them a potent partner for your sunscreen.

Use a serum loaded with antioxidants like vitamin C and E every morning before you apply sunscreen for major sun protection benefits.

Our Anti-Aging Kit features antioxidants in every product (hello vitamin C and niacinamide!) to protect your skin against dark spots and sun damage. On top of that, the Advanced C E Ferulic serum takes advantage of not one, but three, different antioxidants to smooth and even out your complexion.

Get dewy skin in seconds, without using a highlighter.

Vitamin C is known for its brightening effects that give your skin an instant glow. The same properties that fade dark spots and banish dullness makes this antioxidant a promising complexion booster too.

Take advantage of this by applying the Advanced C E Ferulic serum under your makeup for extra radiance -- no highlighter needed.

Follow the 60 Second Rule to thoroughly cleanse your face.

Most people rush the “cleansing” part of their regimen, leaving behind residue that eventually causes breakouts. This practice changes that.

The 60 Second Rule is one of the latest hacks to come out of the beauty community, courtesy of esthetician Nayamka Roberts-Smith.

“The 60 Second Rule is an original skincare tip I developed to help clients get the most out of their expensive cleansers,” says Roberts-Smith in the description of her Youtube video.

“Cleansing your face (with your fingers) for 60 seconds allows the ingredients in the cleanser to actually work. Most people wash their face for only 15 seconds. The 60 Second Rule softens the skin & dissolves sebum blockages better. Texture & overall evenness improves.”

Not only do you get more out of your face wash, you make sure to hit problem areas like the creases of your nose and your hairline so they don’t break out. So, the next time you wash your face, set your phone timer to 60 seconds and get to scrubbing!

Use the Hydrating Cleanser as a rinse-off mask.

Is your skin in need of a little TLC? Use the Hydrating Cleanser as a mask to get deep into your pores and reap the benefits of its nourishing ingredients.

Double cleanse first so you start with a clean canvas. Then, use a pump or two of the face wash and spread it all over your face in an even layer. After leaving it on for 10-15 minutes, rinse off the excess for soft, supple, and hydrated skin.

Apply the Needle-Less Serum to damp skin for even more hydration.

Hyaluronic acid is known for its excellent hydrating properties, making it a top recommendation by dermatologists and estheticians all over the US. Hyaluronic acid molecules draw in moisture from their surroundings, and each molecule can absorb 1000 times their weight in water.

However, hyaluronic acid isn’t picky about where it gets its water. If there isn’t any available, it’ll absorb it from your skin, leaving it dry and dehydrated. Stop this from happening by spritzing your face with water (just enough so it’s slightly damp) before you apply the Needle-Less Serum.

Double-cleanse every night to take the day off.

Sunscreen and makeup are notoriously difficult to get rid of. To make matters worse, leaving even minute traces of these products causes breakouts and clogged pores.

Double cleansing at night prevents this. Like the name implies, you wash your face twice: the first time to get rid of any oil and dirt resting on your skin, and the second to actually lift impurities from your pores.

Wash your face twice for 60 seconds each with the Hydrating Cleanser. Alternatively, you can start with an oil-based cleanser, rinse, and then follow it up with the Hydrating Cleanser.

Why an oil-based cleanser? Oil breaks down long-wear products like makeup and sunscreen more easily than a regular face wash, and it helps to break down the oil in your sebaceous glands too.

Take your anti-aging skincare routine to the next level.

If you’ve used the Anti-Aging Kit for a while and want something to boost its effects even further, why not add a retinol to your routine?

Multiple studies have proven retinol’s skin-rejuvenating effects. It speeds up skin cell turnover to bring healthy new skin to the surface, reduces pigmentation, and increases collagen production, among other things. The Retinol Complex .5% combines retinol with antioxidants vitamin C for boosted anti-aging and skin-soothing effects.

Get started by applying the formula two to three nights a week after your face wash. Retinol makes your skin more sensitive, though, so make sure to wear sunscreen the next day.

Don’t forget the rest of your body either.

Did you know that the skin on your hands and décolleté ages quickly too.

These parts of your body, along with your face, get the most exposure to the sun and other environmental elements, so you’ll want to make sure they’re adequately protected too.

Shield them from harmful UV rays by giving them the Anti-Aging Kit treatment too. Every morning and night, bring down the products to your neck, chest, and hands too -- yes, even the sunscreen!

Putting It All Together: Your New and Improved Anti-Aging Routine

So what does this look like in an actual skincare routine?

    In the morning:

    • Wash your face with the Hydrating Cleanser for 60 seconds
    • Apply the Advanced C E Ferulic
    • Spritz water so skin is slightly damp
    • Apply Needle-Less Serum
    • Apply your favorite moisturizer
    • Apply Broad Spectrum SPF 45

    At night:

    • Double cleanse with your cleansers of choice to remove sunscreen, makeup, and dirt
    • Optional: Use the Hydrating Cleanser as a mask two to three times a week
    • Spritz water so skin is slightly damp
    • Apply Needle-Less Serum
    • Optional: Apply the Retinol Complex .5% two to three times a week
    • Apply your favorite moisturizer

Remember that consistency is key. Even with its list of superstar ingredients and benefits, the Anti-Aging Kit doesn’t work if you do.

Luckily, you can knock out your skincare routine in as little as 20 minutes twice a day. When you do, you’ll notice your skin becomes smoother, plumper, and more even toned.

And don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what Ann H. had to say:

“Stumbled upon this brand on Facebook. I love every product that is included in this kit. I can tell you from the ingredients that these are well thought of products and worth the cost of admission.

In just two weeks I have seen a pretty dramatic change in my skin - for the better. It's much brighter, hydrated, and it also looks as though my fine lines are fading. This is going to last me 2 months of use. Will then buy again.”
