Simple & Quick: An effective morning skin care routine
(A four minute read)
A healthy skin care routine often sounds a luxury—a spa-like experience with plush robes, rich creams, leave-on masks, the subtle fragrance of eucalyptus oil. For the vast majority of us, however, mornings are something less than spa-like. Between showering, making coffee, eating right, going to the gym, and getting to work on time, where are we supposed to find the time for an hour long skin care routine?
Too often, we don’t give our skin the attention it deserves. And giving yourself a full, proper regimen is important to do whenever you get the chance, but for the chaos of everyday life, here’s a simple 4-step routine to get you started:
Basic Morning Skin Care Routine
1. Cleanse. We recommend always washing your face twice a day. While gently clearing skin of make-up, dirt, and the day’s grit, cleansers also help prevent unexpected breakouts from popping up, leaving your skin blemish free. As your skin is rid of dead cells and grit, it forms something of a blank canvas for other products to perform on. Skin care products will always be more effective on clean skin.
2. Treat. Once your skin is clean, apply the skin treatment(s) of your choice. Treatments come in many forms. Their main purpose it to target a specific issue, be it aging skin with fine lines and wrinkles, acne, scarring, or uneven skin tone. Using a treatment, like this Needle-less Serum, is basically using a secret weapon against aging skin. By enhancing collagen production and targeting fine lines and wrinkles, skin will appear visibly brighter and younger.
3. Antioxidant. Treatments will help fight those specific problematic issues, but a good antioxidant is a must for healthy skin. Antioxidants, like our Advanced C E Ferulic, lead the fight against damaging free radicals. As these damaging molecules are rendered ineffective, collagen and other important molecules are protected and stable. Antioxidants also help boost collagen production, correct hyperpigmentation, and brighten your skin’s overall appearance.
4. Sunscreen. Don’t skip sunscreen! Sun damage is the primary cause of wrinkles and aging skin. Sunscreen is the best form of protection for your skin from harmful UVA (wrinkles, aging, skin-cancer-causing) and UVB (sunburn-causing) rays. Daily applications will not only reduce the appearance of wrinkles and keep your skin looking healthy and young, but will greatly decrease the likelihood of harmful skin cancers as well.
