I started off with a smaller percentage and moved up to the 0.5%. I love the product. It goes on smooth and I never had a reaction to the product. I use it 3-4 nights a week.

3 Ways to Help Skin Adjust to Retinol:

  1. The Sandwich Method

    • Applying a moisturizer before retinol helps keep dryness at bay, and moisturizing afterwards helps soothe and calm any irritation. 

  1. The Build-Up Method

    • Start slow. The biggest mistake people make is applying retinol every night. Use a pea-sized amount once or twice a week. As your skin adjusts, you can begin using it more frequently.

  1. The Rinse-Off Method

    • If your skin is sensitive, you can always use the Rinse-Off Method. Apply retinol to moisturized skin and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then gently wash it off. Increase the amount of time to 10 minutes, then 15, then 30, until skin can handle overnight application.

 

 

Directions

  • Apply sparingly (pea size amount) over face, avoiding eye area.
  • Allow to absorb before applying additional products.
  • Can be used once a day at bedtime or as directed by physician.
  • Initial application should be twice a week for first week and increase use after skin shows minimal signs of irritation.
  • Use of sun protection is highly recommended.
  • Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
